How do I add a transaction?

Adding a transaction in SpendwisePro is straightforward. You can fill out the transaction form to record an expense, income, or transfer. For added convenience, you can also use:

  • Voice Input: Simply speak your transaction details, for example, "Add an expense of 500 in food."
  • Bill Scan: Easily scan your bills to input transaction information.

Both the voice input and bill scan features offer two processing modes: local parsing (free) and AI parsing (available with a premium subscription). Local parsing processes the data on your device, while AI parsing leverages advanced artificial intelligence for potentially more accurate and efficient recognition.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

No, SpendwisePro follows an offline-first approach. All your financial data is stored locally and securely on your device using SQLite. We do not integrate with cloud services for data storage.

What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?

As all data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the app will result in the deletion of all your financial data. We recommend using the Backup & Restore feature regularly to safeguard your information.

You can track three main types of transactions:

What is the Savings Feature?

The Savings Feature allows you to allocate specific amounts of money towards savings goals within categories. You can also set monthly or yearly target savings goals and track your progress.

Can I manage multiple bank accounts in the app?

Absolutely! SpendwisePro supports multi-account management. You can add and manage various account types like Cash, Debit Card, Credit Card, Loan, Investments, and link your transactions to specific accounts.

Does SpendwisePro support multiple currencies?

Yes, SpendwisePro offers multi-currency support. It preloads all major currencies, can auto-detect your location to suggest a default currency, and allows you to select and save your preferred currency from a searchable dropdown. It also ensures regional currency formatting based on your selected language.

  • Google Drive Auto-Backup: For added convenience, enable the cloud storage feature to automatically back up your data daily to Google Drive. Just log in with your Gmail ID within the app, and SpendwisePro will handle the rest, ensuring your data is always safe and accessible.

Can I set up recurring transactions in SpendwisePro?

SpendwisePro offers flexibility in how recurring transactions are handled. You have two options:

  • Automatic Addition: You can enable a feature that automatically adds recurring transactions to your ledger.
  • Manual Approval with Notifications: Alternatively, you can disable automatic addition. In your Notifications settings, you can set a specific time of day. At this time, you will receive a notification prompting you to approve any pending recurring transactions. This gives you control while ensuring you don't miss scheduled entries.
How do I restore my data on a new device?

Here's how you can restore your data on a new device:

  • Local backup import/export: Use the locally saved backup file to import your data.
  • Cloud backup import/export: If you've enabled cloud backup, import your data from Google Drive.
  • CSV Import/Export: You can import transaction data using a CSV file.
How will I know about pending recurring transactions?

Your notification method for pending recurring transactions depends on your chosen settings:

  • If Automatic Approval is ON: Recurring transactions will be added to your ledger automatically, and you will not receive pending approval notifications.
  • If Automatic Approval is OFF: You will receive a notification at the specific time you've set in your Notifications settings, alerting you to any pending recurring transactions that require your approval.

You have several options for exporting your transactions:

  • Detailed Export: You can export your transactions by applying various filters such as Date, Category, Accounts, and Transaction Type (Expense, Income, Transfer) to get specific insights.
  • Quick Export: For a fast summary, use the "Quick Export" option to generate a CSV file based solely on a selected Month. All exported data is conveniently provided in CSV format, making it easy to analyze or share.
Can I import transactions into SpendwisePro?

Yes, you can effortlessly import transactions into SpendwisePro using a CSV file. This is ideal for migrating data or bulk adding entries.

How does the CSV import feature handle errors?

To ensure a smooth import, you can download a sample import CSV file from the app. Fill in your data and import it back. If any errors are detected during the import process, the app will generate an "error CSV file." This file highlights discrepancies in the last column, allowing you to easily identify, fix, and re-import only the problematic entries.

What kind of financial charts are available on the home screen?

How do I restore my purchase?

If you've previously purchased a premium subscription, you can restore it by going to the Subscription screen and tapping on "Restore Purchase." Ensure that you have downloaded the SpendwisePro app using the same Google Play Store account that was used for the original subscription purchase. If an active subscription is found, your purchase will be successfully restored.
